The bee below, grooming her tongue, is drying off after being rescued from the bird bath. Notice the top center spot on her head -- there are three small eyes here, "ocelli", which she uses inside the dark hive.

Super Duper

Added the honey super today and the ladies were calm as ever. They're over the robber attack (a swarm of pirate bees) which left them rather cranky for almost a week. Lovin' the new bee high-rise (at bottom is the dining room view).
